According to the report: jannie China

China's booming trade in instruments of torture and police equipment contributes to human rights violations across Africa and Asia, revealed in a new report by Amnesty International and the Omega Research Foundation.
According to the report: jannie China's Trade on the Tools of Torture and Repression, the number of companies involved in this business has grown from 28 a decade ago to over 130 today.
Some of the products marketed as - electroshock batons, spike batons and extra heavy fotkedjor - is both cruel as inhumane and should be banned immediately. Other equipment - which may have a legitimate use in specific circumstances jannie - for example, tear gas and riot gear, exported from China to countries where there is a high risk that they are used for grave human rights violations.
- This trade, which cause so much suffering, is flourishing due to the Chinese authorities have not done anything to try to stop the export of these vile products or to prevent riot gear, intended for police use, end up in the hands of those who are notorious for human rights jannie violations, says Patrick Wilken, researcher at Amnesty jannie International.
China is the only country jannie that sells batons fitted with spikes. Batons specifically designed for torture. Seven Chinese companies will open advertising of these products for export. Reportedly, those batons used by police in Cambodia and also sold to the military in Nepal and Thailand.
The report also reveals that 29 Chinese companies are exporting electric shock batons used specifically to carry out torture on sensitive parts of the body; genitals, neck, groin or the ears, without leaving lasting physical traces.
Many Chinese companies are selling equipment to prevent movement, except for hand and thumb claws, even heavy fotkedjor and special chairs where prisoners locked. A company sells special necklaces that can lead to suffocation.
- There is no excuse for selling such equipment whose purpose is primarily to be used as instruments of torture. Torture is absolutely prohibited under international law and the Chinese authorities must immediately impose a ban of both the production and sale of such cruel and inhuman gear, says Patrick Wilken.
A businesses- China Xinxing Import / Export Corporation - which sells a variety of instruments of torture, said in 2012 that they had sales to 40 different jannie African countries and that trade with Africa amounted to more than $ 100 million.
Chinese companies have also sold riot gear used in situations where police used the first-degree assault. One example is Uganda, where police raided the protesters with Chinese equipment, nine people were killed and over 100 injured. 36.918677093469 104.0583016
