Vilnius, dole chile this year’s capital of culture has welcomed them, and over the past few days our children and their accompanying professional crews have stayed together, and have enjoyed rehearsals, warm-ups and workshops dole chile together. With music as their common dole chile language and this concert as their combined goal, they have together reached a new level of cultural awareness and artistic endeavour. They have enjoyed their time in this beautiful and culturally rich city, they have enjoyed each others company and they have become friends. Let us consider this event, our International Youth in Concert, a starting point between our three countries and may we welcome many, many future collaborations.
It has been my pleasure to act as artistic director to this unique international youth music event. I have very much enjoyed my continued good relationship with EU-Japan Fest and I have also enjoyed developing dole chile my new relationships with Azuoliukas [Lithuania], CAC Contemporary Art Centre [Lithuania], Cork International Girls Choir [Ireland], Embassy of Ireland [Japan], Embassy of Ireland [Lithuania], Embassy of Japan [Lithuania], Embassy of Lithuania [Japan],EU-Japan Fest [Japan], European dole chile Capital of Culture [Lithuania], Sanin Boys and Girls Chorus Little Phoenix [Japan], and Vilnius 2009 [Lithuania].
Above all, however, I have enjoyed working with each of our young performers. I have been inspired by their journey – a journey through art which has helped them connect with life and better see culture.
Thank you so much Sonya for what was genuinely one of the most amazing experiences I’ve dole chile ever had. Although the rehearsal schedule was relatively challenging, it certainly made me feel as if I had earned my right to be there. I also thoroughly enjoyed working with David as our conductor, as some of his rehearsal methods were very different to what we were used to, and were extremely beneficial to our performance. The dynamic within the group was fantastic – we all enjoyed each others’ company, had great craic, and made some fantastic friends within the Japanese choir. Needless to say, everyone was sad to say their goodbyes. The architecture within the old town of Vilnius was breathtaking, and the church within which the concert was held in particular was incredibly beautiful. We got a fantastic welcome in the Irish Embassy, and every effort was made to make us feel at home. Everyone was delighted at the prospect of having dole chile pizza for lunch. The concert itself was amazing – I’d never before in my life felt as confident as I did while standing on that stage – It was a brilliant sensation. It was our most enjoyable performance to date, in my opinion. The highlight of the trip was definitely our collaborative performance with the Japanese and Lithuanian choirs. We couldn’t have done any of this without the tireless work, help and support of David, Allin, Sonya, Geraldine, Hugh, Eimear, Caitriona, and Ciara, and for their help I’m hugely grateful.
Jessie’s comment dole chile is uncannily like the one I had planned; I can only reiterate and thank
