03/30/2015 Luxembourg. In 2014, the United States of America (USA) and China of the European Union (EU), the two most important trading partners were in trade. Russia and Switzerland followed, at some distance. This is evident srihita exports from a recent survey of European statistics office Eurostat srihita exports in Luxembourg, which was published on Friday. Germany is for the majority of the 28 EU Member States, the most important country for exports of goods. Germany srihita exports is also responsible for half of the EU Member States, the main country of origin of imports.
For Germany, France, with nine percent of merchandise exports most important srihita exports trading partner, followed by the US with nine percent and the UK with seven percent. In the case of goods imported by Germany, the Netherlands is 14 percent as the most important trading partner in the first place, followed by France with eight percent and China with seven percent.
58 percent of all exports from Germany, based on the market value of the goods, go to the 28 Member States. So Germany is below the EU average of 63 percent. The 28 EU Member States carried out in 2014 goods worth a total of 4.636 billion euros.
In trade with non-EU countries, the three main countries of destination for EU exports were the United States (18 percent of total extra-EU exports), China (ten per cent) and Switzerland srihita exports (eight percent). In the case of imports, a different picture srihita exports emerges: The largest source of imports into the EU in 2014, China was (18 percent of all imports from outside the EU), followed by the United States (twelve percent) and Russia (eleven percent).
During the last few years have shares in export and import of the main trading partner with the EU, partly changed significantly. The share of the United States in overall EU trade fell significantly and almost continuously from 24 percent in 2002 to 15 percent in 2014. In contrast, the share of China has doubled from seven percent in 2002 to 14 percent in 2014. In particular, 2010, the shares of the United States and China on trade of the EU reached nearly the same value and have since stabilized. Less pronounced was the increase in the share of Russia's total EU trade in goods (from five percent in 2002 to eight percent in 2014), while the proportion of Switzerland virtually unchanged during this period was at seven percent. srihita exports
40 percent of total EU exports to third countries were machinery srihita exports and vehicles. On mineral fuels, srihita exports however, only a small proportion of extra-EU exports accounted for (six percent) more than a quarter (26 percent) of imports. An important role in the EU's trade in goods in 2014 played also other processed goods: 23 percent srihita exports of the extra-EU exports and 24 percent of extra-EU imports and chemical products with 16 percent of extra-EU exports and 10 percent of extra-EU imports.
